Degree Laifeu 2k16 + recent
Hello hello ~ Wait when's the last time I've updated? Okay forget it . I don't even remember the formats I used . Anyway - I started to do my degree [Bsc. of Science (Architectue Studies)] ! Started like eight months ago lol I'm in my second semester now; and second as in 2nd year 2nd semester. The perks of taking diploma [Architectural Technology] ; you can skip a year YASSS (If you continue on the similar course of course) Lemme tell ya it's not as laid back as those diploma days. Every coursework is in bulks and GOSH can you imagine the first week and already having sleepless nights ? Then again, we have some Ar. and Dr. people up here so I guess I couldn't complain (HA you thought) no there are pros and cons to it but that's another story to be told . The subjects I'm taking or was or will have so many similarities with the ones I used to take during diploma years . Hmmm wonder why aren't I exempted from them hmmm . Design OH DESIGN however is a pain in the ass (we have a rather complicated relationship) . The division of time for each assignment is ridiculous at times . Can you imagine, the project was to build a resort and chalet is like a main thing we have to design . We spent almost 4/5 portion of the weeks we had just for the chalet itself and another 1/5 to figure out the circulation and the main building and a watch tower . Not to mention I was one of the humans that need to redo even after the final submission do you know how scary it was knowing you could be repeating ? Thank God I passed . Passed, literally just a pass . My pointer went down just because of it ugh the other subjects saved me from plummeting even deeper . For other subjects, the learning process took a while to adapt . I'm used to having like 6 to 9 person per class because the whole diploma batch only have around that number ( sometime combined with other semesters makes more but never exceed 20 ) and mostly are locals . I have around 70 - 80 classmates, mostly are foreigners and sometimes more than a hundred when we were mixed with other courses for additional subjects . Locals could be counted easily so if someone is missing, you'd know right away, even so I do skip classes when it's appropriate lol . Now I got the hang of it. Still haven't recognize all names and faces (foreigners especially) to match with but hey at least I know who belongs to my classes. I guess I wrote a lot already. Tbh I'm procrastinating on design (HA) . I meant to write on other things but since I haven't been updating so why not we start with the simple ones ? Bottom line is, degree life is more on you do things by own effort . No more lecturer to see at your time of avail, it's their time you should be following and it's very limited so classes is super important . If you have troubles, books and internet (friends too) would be the alternative to help . Whoever is reading, (idek if anyone would read blogs nowadays), please excuse my awful grammar and other boring stuff . My last English class was in the 1st year of diploma so am pretty rusted in that department . Design awaits ha ha ha. A bientot ! (see ya later) |
